As a senior business planning manager, you will provide technical leadership as an expert designing and implementing business processes, and act as a PMO for special projects and initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in supporting R&D China in making a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. This opportunity is based in Shanghai.

Typical Accountabilities

• Execute business processes (scorecard, risk log, resource planning tool) and effectively communicate to ensure R&D China as an organisation run in an efficient and compliant manner.
• Independently lead projects as a PMO, ensures efficient and effective leadership and management of project information, quality of data and projection, and integrity of information supplied, identifies risks and generates reports/presentations for the leadership team.
• Provide operational support to Head of R&D China and Head of BPO, including slides preparation and lead complex events.
• Proactively build network within R&D China and across other business areas in AstraZeneca, to share best practices, key contacts and emerging issues.
• Provides direction, guidance and development to junior members of the BPO team.
• Deputise Head of BPO as needed.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

• Bachelor degree
• >3 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Influencing and negotiating skills
• Presentation skills

Desirable

• Advanced degree in a scientific discipline, PhD
• MBA and/or PMP
• Consulting experience
