DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Follow market, technology and regulatory trends that shape healthcare industry (pharma, med-tech, healthcare service, etc.) development,  perform industry analysis to screen and identify investment opportunities

  • Participate in healthcare industry associations,  including meeting with founders, entrepreneurs, potential co-investors, attending conferences, networking events

  • Deal sourcing , and Perform in-depth analysis of potential investment opportunities through industry and company research, industry expert interviews and meeting with prospective partners.

  • Assist in due diligence -  support the team across the various due diligence work streams (commercial, financial, legal, technology, etc.) on live transactions, support assess key investment merits and risks

  • Perform valuation analysis via business planning and financial modelling

  • Help prepare investment memorandums, presentation documents, and assist in contract negotiations

  • Contribute to post-investment monitoring activities and interact with portfolio companies’ management teams

  • Actively monitor portfolio companies’ performance, and step in to facilitate areas or pull resources wherever necessary for the company to grow on track

JOB REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:

Experience requirement:

  • Minimum Master degree from top university, MBA / post-grad qualification are appreciated

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in related areas: investment banking, management consulting strategy or business development experience in pharmaceutical or medical device companies is required; private equity or venture capital investment experience highly preferred

  • Capability of performing in-depth industry analysis, company performance analysis and value creation drivers analysis

  • In-depth understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, accounting principles, and valuation; able to design, develop and integrate detailed financial models

Collaboration & relationship building

  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to articulate and present facts, ideas, recommendations effectively (both verbally and in writing) with key stakeholders

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with vendors, industry experts, financial sponsors and company management team
