JOB PURPOSE

The Competitive Intelligence manager position is charged with providing the brand team with timely competitive intelligence through research, data and analyses. As a core member of brand team, the incumbent will act as a business advisor/consultant from intelligence aspects to support the crucial strategies making from both BU and overall company wide.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES

1. Support company to develop successful strategy and tactics through continuous and effective tracking (35%)

  • Tightly track competitors’ status and providing forecast based on evidence meanwhile timely delivering information to key stakeholders and keeping regular communication
  • Analyze valuable competitor’s information and providing comprehensive insight

2. Support Forecasting enhancing (30%)

  • Position the role of CFRC secretary
  • Rationalization current Forecasting model/ Reviewing template, optimize existing forecast accurate & efficiency
  • Provide constructive feedback for CFRC cases, help for further TA strategy enhancing

3. Support critical business decisions making (25%)

  • Guide project initiator to develop relevant and effective requests for clear scope definition and insightful result delivery
  • Continuous participation and regular communication with other stakeholders to ensure project is on the right track regarding valuable information generated Analyze business issues to support own business case/plan development

4. keep the company well informed of competitors’ key initiatives and overall market dynamics to support business on the right track (10%)

  • Deliver weekly newsletter incorporating policy, market and competitors information to support maximum info penetration – each newsletter per week
  • Deliver monthly TA Focus and RA Status to keep stakeholders well understand competitors’ key R&D and marketing activities

COMPETENCIES

1. Bachelor required, but Master preferred in marketing, business administration,  statistical analyses, medical, pharmacy

2. Mastering of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies and their applications. Familiar with competitive intelligence

3. Be able to develop customized research to address business issue together with cross functional team

4. Knowledge of pharmaceutical sales/marketing, superior communication and influencing skills

5. Fluent in English / Chinese

6. Highly skilled in PowerPoint, Excel

7. Ability to run functions/programming in Excel or other statistical software
