SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Support function leader for China Commercial Corporate and BBU business strategy planning, project management and GM office operations.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Business planning responsibilities 40%

  • Support cross-functional brand teams to deliver integrated brand plans
  • Encourage deep insights based on market understanding and facts
  • Connect brand strategy (Brand Plan) to programs and campaigns (Brand Experience Plan) so that customer priorities get pulled through to the next level of operational planning and execution
  • Enable senior management to evaluate Brand Plans through a consistent lens
  • Provide teams with new and innovative analytical tools to interpret data and make more informed allocation and investment decisions
  • Support Brand Teams to focus on main growth drivers and set up appropriate Brand KPIs

2. Project Management 20% to 40%

  • Set up project management framework/tool for launch excellence
  • Develop project management tools
  • Set up cross-functional work streams
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve overall launch plan
  • Monitor/ drive project progress
  • Regularly monitor project progress to make sure on-time achievement of milestones/ KPIs
  • Facilitate XFN team meetings
  • Organize overall and work-stream level cross-functional team meetings
  • Make records of the agreement/ issues/ next steps proposed in the meeting
  • Ensure information transparency
  • Secure visibility of project progress/risks across launch teams
  • Generate reports to senior management team on timely basis
  • Escalate issues through proper line when necessary
  • Identify risks/ support mitigation actions
  • Identify potential risks and support mitigation plan
  • Accelerate problem solving through proper escalation
  • Capability building
  • Organize best practice sharing from other brands/ companies/ markets

3. Strategic initiatives and other project responsibilities  20% to 40%

  • Lead key strategic initiatives that will ultimately enable AZ China to develop and implement winning commercial strategy

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree and above, preferably in Science, Business, Finance, Marketing or other relevant areas, MBA degree is highly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry, preferably in brand marketing, strategic planning, business development and / or management consulting
  • Experience in new product launch readiness in pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in oral and written English
