Role & Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment & Deployment

  • Align with the global T&D strategy to design and implement the China T&D strategy, partnering with HR teams and business leaders to ensure measurable impact.
  • Partner closely with Global/International CoE to align talent processes and learning content; leverage enterprise solutions where appropriate.

Talent Processes & Governance

  • Lead and embed the annual global/international talent review cycle across business and functions; maintain quality talent pools and succession pipelines.
  • Oversee local talent validation, Development Centres and Acceleration Centres, ensuring robust design and facilitation quality.

Programs & Interventions

  • Design and execute site‑specific learning and talent interventions addressing priority capabilities; curate leadership and functional pathways.
  • Foster a culture of personal growth and development through enterprise tools (e.g., individual development planning, career development, mentoring).

Insights & Analytics

  • Manage cross‑business talent analyses; generate insights for HRBPs and leaders to guide workforce decisions and movement.
  • Track program effectiveness and report outcomes (e.g., participation, progression, engagement, internal fill rates).

Stakeholder Leadership & Change

  • Serve as T&D subject matter expert; influence senior stakeholders to adopt global best practices while tailoring to local needs.
  • Lead communications and change activities to promote learning pathways and talent programs, aligning with AZ culture and values.

Enablement & Technology

  • Champion adoption of global learning technologies and platforms; streamline local processes to improve efficiency and learner experience.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Select and manage external partners for assessments, coaching, and learning programs; ensure ROI and compliance.

Qualifications, Skills & Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or above; proven experience leading T&D/OD in complex, multinational organizations.
  • Strong leadership, influence, and communication skills; strategic thinking with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced facilitation and program design capabilities; data‑driven decision‑making; stakeholder management across functions.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin; ability to operate effectively in a multinational, matrix environment.
  • Experience in biopharma is a plus
