ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in support of the Deal Finance Directors to work on all stages of the deal process – from initial negotiations to due diligence, contract closure and post-deal integration
  • Build complex, consistent and accurate transaction valuation models.
  • Providing high-quality financial analysis and advice
  • Prepare and coordinate formal post-transaction accounting & tax memorandum for internal and external governance

REQUIREMENTS

Essential requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Finance or related)
  • Strong academic background, preferably including accounting/finance qualification (CIMA, ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent).
  • Experience in financial evaluation techniques and financial modelling.
  • Good understanding of cash vs. profit
  • Strong understanding of value based cashflow metrics and their relevance in business evaluation
  • Analytical thinking, and ability to collate and analyze relevant data to identify key drivers of value and risk
  • At least more than 5 years’ experience of working in an investment bank/accounting firm with solid valuation capability, with previous experience related to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to communicate financial recommendations to financial/non-financial senior leaders and other stakeholders in a way that is impactful and understandable
  • Aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment and able to effectively manage multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines. 
  • Strong teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively across functions, communicate proactively
  • Fluent written and spoken English & Mandarin
  • Experts in Microsoft Office (Excel and Power point)

Desirable requirements

  • Confident and clear presenter, who can communicate financial and strategic recommendations in a concise and impactful manner.
  • Tax structuring as it relates to deals in a multinational company
  • Working knowledge of deal accounting
  • Keen interest in business development and the wider pharmaceutical industry
