Tasks

The objectives of this position are to create test concept and test cases, steer/manage all required testing activities in accordance with the E/E testing strategy in body and trim domain for exterior and interior functions with focus, but not exclusively for China specific scope, to coordinate time and content of test planning/execution for the tests, as well as documentation and reporting of the test results to the SE-Team, function owner, module leader.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure the complete coverage of requirements through test specification as well as traceability of test cases to requirements.

· Define domain test strategy and plan test activities according to overall E/E testing strategy, software release plan, vehicle milestones and HW component maturity

· Ensure availability of all test descriptions and test environments needed for test execution

· Ensure prioritization and efficient processing of all assigned test cases including documentation of test results

· Acceptance of E/E functions and the E/E system for interior/exterior function scope in body and trin domain, including reporting

· Reporting the test results in terms of time and content (functional and software modular test report)

· Ensuring functional implementation and integration into the vehicle. Ensure release capability and issue release to the E/E integration target management role. Confirm release capability with lead function owner

· Supports Module Leader in regard to the target agreement with the PV (Process Chain Leader) and the CoC (Development of front and rear end systems)

Qualifications

· Degreed Engineer in "Electrical Engineering", "Informatics / Software Engineering", "Mechatronic", "Automotive Electronics", "Automotive Software Engineering"

· Knowledge of software test techniques, V-model, different test levels and software integration process. Creating test cases and planning test execution. Knowledge of BMW specific tolls such as ECU test and AIDA is of advantage

· Ability to analyze bus traces and evaluate potential defect cause. Familiarity with measurement equipment: data loggers, bus analysis (Vector tools), oscilloscope. Knowledge of BMW specific tools such as Carmen is of advantage

· Knowledge of onboard diagnose techniques, UDS ISO14229. Knowledge of BMW specific tools INPA, Ediabas is of advantage

· Experience in problem management and steering the solution using state of the art problem management environment. Knowledge of BMW specific tools such as TAEE is of advantage

· Knowledge of vehicle E/E and software architecture. Understanding onboard power supply distribution and communication networks. Being able to navigate and analyze the effect chain of a customer function

· Knowledge regarding electronics, LED lighting, DC and stepper motors, sensors, switches and control elements, UI/UX design, automotive bus systems including CAN, LIN, ETHERNET

· Knowledge of software development integration process (Agile, Scrum, release planning) or BMW specific tools (I-STEP planning, SWIP)

· Manufacturing process of PCBA (e.g. electronic control units) and vehicle electronics and . Knowledge of at least one programming language (C, C++, Java, Python)

· Communication skills, team leading skills, skills for moderation and presentation

· Competency in project management, cross-disciplinary development

· English language skills with the ability for negotiations. German language is of advantage

· Analytical and methodical thinking, creativity, self initiative, assertiveness, poise

· Engineering, preferably automotive (OEM) or automotive suppliers 1-3 Years
