Key Objectives and Scope of the Position

As part of the Data Based Development team in China, you are responsible for enable the CDC (Crowd Data Collection) Onboard/Offboard Vehicle Data Analysis of customer fleet data in the area of Automated Driving.

You plan and implement the data analysis use case for the onboard and offboard development as well as validation and operation in alignment with relevant BMW R&D stakeholders, IT and legal department. In this job you will play a crucial role in a multinational SW development team in China.

Major Responsibilities

• Implementation, validation and operation of CDC AD use cases for onboard/offboard development in alignment with relevant BMW R&D, IT and legal departments
• Represent CDC AD Data Analysis China towards relevant internal and external partners in China and Germany
• Review, monitor and report the status of own project
• Effort estimation and budget planning for the own project

Scope of Communication / Negotiation

• Direct reporting to senior manager and alignment with project leads in AD and IT department in China
• Cooperation with international tech-companies and suppliers, software development partners and Chinese authorities

Qualifications

• Education / Degree: Master/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
• Familiar with at least one of programming language of Java/Python.
• Familiar with Bordnet communication and architecture.
• Knowledge and experience in AWS/AliCloud and the services.
• Knowledge and experience in Relational Databases like PostgreSQL, mySQL, MariaDB, etc.
• Experience with vehicle testing, e.g. test definition/evaluation
• Experience in version control tooling, e.g. Git
• Strong background working with Linux/UNIX environments.
• Knowledge and experience in big data.
• Good language skills in English (written and oral); German language skills optional.
• Solid communication skills with ability to communicate sophisticated technical concepts and align on decisions with global and China local partners
• Passion to stay on top of the latest happenings in the tech world and an attitude to discuss and bring those into play

Experience

• Must have strong hands-on experience in programming and development.
• Experience in working in a feature team and self-organisation
• Experience in using JIRA suite.
• Experience in Advanced Driving Assistant System functions
• Strong agile/scrum development experience
