To ensure the success of electrified vehicles in China, charging as a mandatory basic function must be ensured. Key objectives of this position are as follows:

-Technical leadership of the development team and responsibility for release of every engineering aspect for charging equipment product development until SOP plus series support.

-Responsible for product definition of hardware and software, Technical specification implementation, change of requirements, sample to sample verification plan and execution, product certificates management and release.

-Responsibility for achieving the functional, quality and cost goals of the development object. Technical leadership of the development team and responsibility for release of every engineering aspect for charging equipment product development until SOP plus series support.

-Responsible for product definition of hardware and software, Technical specification implementation, change of requirements, sample to sample verification plan and execution, product certificates management and release.

Major Responsibilities

• Responsible for development of charging equipment (such as charging wallbox, mode-2 charger, V2L devices, etc.).
• Lead SE-/ BE-Teams or corresponding and support locally the corresponding teams in Munich.
• Report to the Module and/or project steering circle. Self-reliant preparation and documentation of reports incl. evaluations and conclusions and recommendations for decision circle and process partners.
• Ensure efficient communication of technical issues and support discussions with and at local suppliers as also with internal partners. Monitoring of timing plan and validation schedules.
• Responsible for target achievements of KLH and timeline for SOP and sample phases.
• Planning, execution and documentation of technical evaluation of suppliers and sub-suppliers, of their R&D capabilities, test facilities and of technology know-how. Interpretation and assessment of development progress and test results. Control/implementation of all changes within the specified target framework. Assess and evaluate development steps, take corrective action if necessary. Planning, execution and documentation of onsite evaluation of series production and assembly lines and prototype manufacturing facilities at suppliers.
• Identifying conflicting goals and, if necessary, developing possible solutions, as well as bringing about quick decision-making.
• Control of the commissioned external service for the development object as well as responsibility for testing and securing the development object.

Education/Degree

• Engineering degree (master, or bachelor) in electrical or automotive engineering or similar.

• Driver's license.
• Good knowledge about quality management.
• International experience (study, internship, working).
