JOB PURPOSE: 

Trade China Head is responsible to develop sustainable key distribution accounts partnership within China. The role is responsible for managing and maximizing the sales and profitability target of business as well as develops and coordinates all distribution related processes including strategic planning, approval of distributors, preparation and submission, database maintenance, logistics, contracting, communication of results and follow-ups. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for distribution and trade operations, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy 

  • Develop and implement annual commercial strategy/policy to support business plan 

  • Monitor business performance metrics, analyse results, and make timely adjustments to strategies and operational process 

  • Manage distribution network to support business growth and develop innovative distributor partnership programs 

  • Engage outside stakeholders, including relevant authorities, associations & key distributors to support access activities (bidding, hospital listing, etc.) 

  • Act as focal point to engage with global trade & renenve team 

  • Manage high-performing team, support talent development within/out of country, and drive capability building in Trade areas 

JOB-HOLDER REQUIREMENTS: 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above 

Experience & knowledge & Competencies: 

  • At least 10 years experience in sales, commercial, distribution and trade operations in the pharmaceutical industry, with a deep understanding of industry dynamics 

  • Experience in multinational company is preferred 

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, business acumen, and decision-making abilities 

  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills 

  • Have good project management skills and experience 

  • Strong influential ability to work successfully in highly matrixed organization 

  • Good capability to learn and adapt to a rapidly changing industry environment and practices 

  • Business integrity and work ethics 

  • Good command of both written and oral English
