Summarized Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Workplace Experience Manager to oversee the WX operations across our office and laboratory environments. He/she will be responsible for leading the South WX organization to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of all WX related services for office and laboratory spaces.
This role requires strategic oversight of daily operations, vendor management, compliance with regulatory standards, project management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of pharmaceutical industry requirements and experience managing integrated FM services in a complex organization.
Main responsibilities:
Strategic Facility Management:
- Develop and implement FM strategics for South China sites in line with WX Greater China goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, cost efficiency, and user satisfaction.
Operational Excellence:
- Lead external and internal teams to provide day-to-day FM services, including maintenance, cleaning, catering, utilities, hospitality service, etc.
- Ensure facilities comply with Sanofi standards and local regulations.
- Manage laboratory-specific infrastructure, which include chemical lab, level 2 biological lab.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders on WX matters. Play the key role to maintain long-term, trusting relationships with key stakeholders.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure service level agreements are met.
HSE
- Manage HSE team in laboratory ensuring compliance with Sanofi HSE policies, GxP standards, and local regulations.
Project Management:
- Work with Real Estate for office design & built project.
- Manage small renovations, space planning, utilization analysis.
- Implement/lead various global projects launch and localization.
Finance
- Manage and optimize South China WX budget (OPEX/CAPEX) to meet finance target.
People Management
- Provide essential support by understanding needs from team members (FTE & Contractor) and engage their personal development and growth
- Lead team by creating a culture of ‘play to win’ behaviors.
- Improve subject matter expertise in WX methodology and practices of the team.
About you
Experience:
- Minimum 7-8 years’ experience of integrated facility management with project management experience and at least 2-3 years of people management experience in complex organization.
Soft skills:
- Highly effective organization, negotiation, coordination, and presentation skills.
- Excellent in both oral and written English.
- Must be able to manage and lead change.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and influence stakeholders in a multicultural setting.
Technical skills:
- A good knowledge of varied technical disciplines related to Facility Management.
- Strong project management including experience of large office design & built project and service outsourcing bidding.
- Knowledge of laboratory infrastructure and familiarity with pharmaceutical regulations and HSE standards.
Education:
Preferred:
- FM experience in Pharmaceutical Industry including: FM experience in Biomedical R&D lab or Hospitality experience in hotel industry.
