The Marketing Director for RSV in China will lead the strategic development and execution of marketing strategy and initiatives for Beyfortus. This key leadership position will drive market awareness, product adoption, and business growth and collaboration with AZ in the Chinese market while contributing to Sanofi's vision of building an Immunology Powerhouse and All Infant Protection.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for Beyfortus in the Chinese market

  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve annual financial objectives while ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals

  • Analyze market trends and leverage analytics to inform decision-making processes and identify growth opportunities

  • Establish and maintain Beyfortus' brand positioning and market presence in China

2. Market Development and Business Growth

  • Drive market awareness and product adoption through innovative marketing initiatives

  • Develop and execute strategies for both private and public sectors

  • Explore new channels and initiatives to grow the business

  • Identify and develop new customer segments and innovative approaches to reach target audiences

3. Strategic Planning and Market Intelligence

  • Develop deep understanding of China's vaccine market, including market size, future trends, key competitors, and government policies

  • Lead the development of long-range strategic plans and key performance metrics

  • Drive implementation of strategic decisions to ensure sustainable growth

  • Identify key development areas and deliver strategic recommendations

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with local functional teams and global stakeholders to ensure effective communication and strategic alignment

  • Manage and uphold Beyfortus' product image and maintain strong relationships with customers and relevant authorities

  • Ensure high-quality implementation of agreed business plans and marketing programs

  • Support all aspects of product marketing throughout the product lifecycle management

5. Business Development and Partnership Management

  • Lead corporate partnering efforts with AZ

  • Proactively identify and screen strategic alliance opportunities to enhance portfolio value

  • Develop business cases to capture strategic growth opportunities

  • Develop and maintain external key relationships and networks for collaboration opportunities

6. Team Leadership and Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing team

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members

  • Ensure team alignment with organizational goals and strategies

REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Medicine or related field, preferably with the degree of MBA;

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare marketing experience with at least 5 years in leadership role;

  • Strong understanding of the Chinese healthcare system and regulatory environment;

  • A solid body of work experience and practical knowledge in market research, product marketing and market promotion activities among others;

  • A strategic thinker who can quickly understand the China vaccine market and its driving forces;

  • Knows the key technical and functional skills needed to do the job; understands various types of business propositions and understands how businesses operate in general; learns new methods and technical skills easily;

  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset to explore new business opportunities and collaboration;

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skill, ability to speak up appropriately and raise issues as necessary;

  • Demonstrated leadership, influence skills and ability to manage complexity in addressing issues;

  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
