This position will develop and lead the medical evidence generation in Sanofi Vaccines Greater China to support the company’s prophylactic portfolio strategy for RSV. The selected individual will oversee externally sponsored studies as well as company sponsored studies that are ongoing in Greater China. In addition, the individual will help organise new medical/real world studies to support new products within the RSV portfolio over time and provide insights for strategy development to Medical Head, Franchise Head, Marketing Head etc.
This individual will work closely with the Global Medical RSV Team and cross-functionally within Greater China (including Franchise, Marketing, and Commercial Operations) to develop and implement a high-quality data generation agenda. This work will be conducted in consultation with business partners, key external experts, and major stakeholders such as public health institutions, hospitals, and payers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Development of medical evidence generation for company’s RSV portfolio in close collaboration with global partners.
Support the use of medical evidence to form decision-making internally at Sanofi Vaccines Greater China, and externally by our stakeholders, recommending bodies and public health agencies.
Develop the partnerships with external stakeholders across healthcare ecosystems to co-design and execute the study that address pre-identified evidence needs.
Map data generation sources and build research collaborations to increase the availability of fit-for-purpose medical evidence. Implement the data generation plan and execute medical studies/projects timely in close collaboration with cross-functional partners.
JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Master or PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, medical science, HTA, Public Health or any other related research area
High level of business/client understanding and insight
At least 3 years of medical/real world evidence generation, epidemiology, or Phase IV research related working experience in pharmaceutical company, also with HEOR working experience is a plus.
Experience in viral/bacterial diseases and/or infectious diseases in Greater China or similar markets
Demonstrated experience in conducting and managing evidence generation , Phase IV studies, etc.
Fluent in English and Mandarin. Any other language proficiency is a bonus.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate research into business (i.e., communicate scientific messages to business leaders in simple and understandable manner
High level of self-awareness and ability to collaborate with people cross-functionally and across different geographic regions
