About the position
We are seeking for an exceptional, energetic, and self-motivated scientist who will be deeply involved in the scientific and experimental assessment for novel preclinical therapeutics and technology opportunities. The scope of SIBR’s research focuses on novel therapeutics in Immunology & Inflammation (I&I), Neuroinflammation, and Oncology cutting-edge technologies within, but not limited to large and small molecules, protein degraders, novel drug modalities, targeted drug delivery, and AI-assisted drug discovery.
Key responsibilities
Culture various cell types, including primary cells (e.g., PBMCs), glial cells, iPSCs, and immortalized cell lines in appropriate conditions
Perform cell transfection, transduction, or gene editing techniques to modulate gene expression in various cell types, enabling the study of gene function in immune responses
Design, optimize, and validate in vitro assays to study functions of immune cells, including but not limited to co-cultures and organoids
Lead studies on protein biochemistry and developability for large molecule drug discovery
Employ multi-parametric techniques like flow cytometry, ELISA, and imaging…
Lead the validation of external assets and support the search & evaluation of emerging opportunities that could potentially disrupt current treatment
Contribute to research projects focused on therapeutics for immune-mediated diseases and neurodegenerative diseases
Engage in communications within cross-functional and global project teams

Qualifications
PhD or/and MD in biological, biomedical, and pharmaceutical sciences, candidate with demonstrated expertise in Immunology or Protein Science is highly desirable
At least 3 years of post-degree research experience
Extensive knowledge and research experience in therapy areas such as I&I, CNS, and oncology, as demonstrated by publications, patents, and/or licensing agreements
Proven track-record of effective project management and problem-solving ability
Experience in monitoring and tracking CRO conducted studies and other research activities
Be able to effectively communicate in English and Mandarin in a highly multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse environment
Skills for accurately reporting and interpreting experimental results, including proper documentation, report writing, and data analysis
