As part of GTMC, the vision of the GTMC Hub I&A pillar is the definition of Sanofi-wide best-in-class processes and strategies for the enablement of impactful business decisions by bringing actionable, data driven insights and analyses that benefit our stakeholders and patients. This includes developing effective and efficient processes, leveraging standardization and best practices across markets and brands, and collaborating closely with business partners.

Sanofi has currently the best and most robust pipeline of R&D and consequent new launches of our history. As new phase of Play-To-Win strategy, funding this pipeline and new launches is key to materialize the miracles of the science to improve people lives. Thus, as we enter the next phase, modernization of Sanofi is required as per the recent announcements on DRIVE, and in this respect, we are in the beginning stages of organizing the Go-to-Market Capabilities (GTMC) team at global level.

 

The GTMC organization will help us to drive best-in-class capabilities across the board and bring value and excellence in our commercial operations. This move is a key part of the aimed modernization of Sanofi and will allow us to focus on our priorities across our products, market and pipeline through the reallocation of resources and realizing the efficiencies of removing silos that exist between our business units, avoiding the duplication and overlapping of resources, standardizing our processes and tools, operating with a One Sanofi approach to accelerate our key capabilities development, and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit by speeding up the decision making.

 

Customer Facing Learning & Development (L&D) Ops Lead aims for:

  • Centralization of Go-to-Market capabilities development for in-field teams,

  • Standardizing and optimizing sales capabilities building processes with strengthened global support while verticalization of reporting within GTMC from local to global,

  • Articulate learning ecosystem to drive change and generate learning and impact on audience relevant.

  • Supervise the hub team and ensure high quality and sustainable delivery

Main responsibilities:

 

  • Lead learning and development team: Provide coaching and direction to team members. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Transition from local process to global/China: Actively lead and develop SBO operations associates and ensure new technologies are leveraged.

  • Maintain constant communication and collaboration with local and global support functions: Ensure sustainable collaborative working relationship with support functions as other GTMC areas, Digital, Finance, Ethics and Business Integrity, People Business Partner, fostering effective external relationship and influencing strategic direction as needed.

  • Ensure sustainable collaborative working relationship: Foster open communication and collaboration with Customer Facing Capabilities teams. Share best practices and lessons learned to improve key process.

  • Business engagement: Drive business outcomes by aligning training guidelines and plans with Global strategy and objectives. Understanding of business unit priorities, operating model, challenges and drivers. Establish a business partnering relationship with key stakeholders to develop relevant learning strategies.

  • Supports L&D operational framework and drive excellence in execution: Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring all activities are conducted efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Identify and implement process improvements to optimize hub performance. Acts as Subject-matter expert to provide consulting service to foster in-field teams efficiency and effectiveness. Challenge and provide recommendations for sales operations support processes and ensure alignment within the organization priorities encouraging continuous improvement. Examples of processes considered but not exhaustive are:

    • Training guidelines and standards: Support guideline creation to main training processes such as: assessing training gaps, designing learning experience, coaching, certification, and onboarding. Leverage global content and programs.

    • Training need assessment: Define a framework for identifying gaps, set objectives, and select tools available within Sanofi. Assess training needs, involve stakeholders, and analyze data and results to find insights. Act as performance improvement consultant to identify root cause of performance gap.

    • Performance tracking: Monitor performance through data gathering and create statistical reports to provide insights, recommendations, and actions. Develop tools to measure training impact. Analyze and articulate performance outcomes with training results to identify insights, best practices, role model. Correlates training and development activities with business performance.

    • Other Ad-hoc projects as assigned

About you

 

Education Background:

University degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field

 

Pharmaceutical Industry Understanding:

Year of Experience in Commercial Operations environment, especially in supporting field force operations:

·       Project management: ensure the correct pace of the acceleration.

·       People management experience demonstrated

·       Field force support background: robust knowledge with tools and platforms of customer facing operations, good experience with T&D subjects

 

Competencies:

  • Business: Numerate and analytical skills; Ability to prioritize; Robust knowledge in Digital, IT and CRM; Financial acumen; Over achievement against set objectives; Ability to work on their own initiative and make quality decisions; Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate, present, persuade and argument among all GBUs teams and partners.

  • Strategic analysis and planning, project management, excellent English language knowledge and skills (written and oral), IT knowledge and skills, proven impactful communication, presentation, persuasion, skills ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Experience in having deployed transformational GTM solutions and new customer facing tools implementation.

  • Proven delivery of outstanding results.

  • Other skills: Hands-on, accountability, creativity, initiative, high persistence and resilience, stress management, learning agility, result orientation, ability to work on one’s own, continuous improvement, listening skills, empathy to understand the needs of the different businesses within distinct geographies.

Language Proficiency:

Excellent English language knowledge and skills (written and oral).

 

Critical Experiences required to be Successful in the Role:

  • Demonstrated previous sales training experience, with a modern approach using educational technology and having a holistic performance improvement approach.

  • Mastery experience in development and learning skills, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Relevant experience in building coaching and sales leadership capabilities, as well as customer facing roles capabilities.

  • Ability to leverage networks, influencing and leading projects to develop people, coach and give feedback, empower people

  • Experience in having deployed transformational GTM solutions and new customer facing tools implementation

  • Ability to lead change while achieving business goals and objectives, act for change, challenging continuously the status quo.

  • High persistency and resilience.
