The PAMA Strategy & Planning Lead plays a critical supportive and integrative role within the China Public affairs and Market Access organization.
This position is designed to work closely with the Head of PAMA, acting as a strategic coordinator and execution enabler, helping to translate vision into coordinated actions and sustainable outcomes. The role emphasizes holistic thinking, strong learning agility, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that strategies set by leadership are effectively aligned, communicated, and implemented across functions and with global counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Integration & Support: Support the Head of PAMA in developing integrated market access and policy strategies. Provide analysis and horizon scanning to anticipate policy and market dynamics, offering actionable insights for decision-making.
Lifecycle Access Support: Contribute to lifecycle management by pricing management, ensuring strategic consistency across different access channels. Support VBP dossier and analysis report.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate effective collaboration between PAMA, Business Units, and other functions, as well as ensure seamless alignment between China priorities and global/regional expectations, acting as a coordination bridge.
Execution & Follow-Through: Translate strategic direction into clear implementation roadmaps. Monitor execution progress, flag risks, and propose solutions to ensure timely delivery.
About you
Education:
• Master’s degree in pharmacy, business, health policy, or a related field preferred.
• MBA is a plus.
Experience & knowledge & Competencies:
• 8–10+ years of relevant experience in healthcare strategy, policy, or market access.
• Strong strategic thinking with a holistic view of China’s healthcare and policy landscape.
• Excellent learning agility and comprehension ability – able to grasp complex issues quickly and translate them into actionable plans.
• Proven coordination and execution skills, especially in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Strong team spirit – thrives on collaboration and collective success.
• Ability to influence and work effectively across functions and geographies.
• High standards of integrity, accountability, and professional ethics.
• Strong command of both written and oral English.
• Proficiency in Chinese language is preferred for international candidates.
