ROLE PURPOSE
The Head of Specialty Care Value & Pricing is responsible for the end-to-end value and pricing strategy of Sanofi’s Specialty Care (SC) portfolio in China—from early clinical development, evidence strategy, pricing, and reimbursement planning to NRDL national negotiation and lifecycle sustainability.
This role ensures that China’s SC access decisions are grounded in clinical value, government payer requirements, and China’s evolving policy ecosystem.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. National Access Strategy (Renewal, Multi-Indication, Lifecycle)
- Develop annual NRDL renewal strategies for GM products, including:
- indication-level pricing logic
- volume forecasting
- competitor mapping
- payer negotiation insights
- Identify risks and opportunities from policy updates, including renewal rules, monitoring rules, and clinical pathway changes.
- Oversee lifecycle access planning across multi-indication portfolios.
2. Pricing & VBP Strategy
- Lead SC pricing strategy aligned with:
- international reference considerations
- local cost-effectiveness
- hospital procurement dynamics
- Support pricing governance and cross-BU alignment.
3. Evidence Requirements
- Define evidence needs for SC disease areas: adherence, long-term outcomes, epidemiology, and real-world disease burden.
- Partner with HEOR to produce payer-relevant dossiers for NRDL, provincial access, and pathway inclusion.
- Support RWE designs for improving payer and clinical decision-making.
4. Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a high-performing SC value & pricing team.
- Drive integrated access decision-making across functions and ensure disciplined execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- 5+ years in market access, pricing, evidence strategy, or policy.
- Strong hands-on experience in NRDL or rare disease access.
- Leadership experience in high-stakes access decisions.
Capabilities
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical judgment.
- Advanced understanding of SC therapeutic areas and payer decision logic.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
Education
- Master’s degree or above (Public Health, Health Economics, Medical, Pharmacy).
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
