Your job, as Global Category Buyer for External Manufacturing based in China, will be to manage Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) across the JPAC (Japan & Asia Pacific) region for Small Molecules, Large Molecules, and Vaccines External manufacturing Business. You will ensure the selection of high-quality CMOs in alignment with our commercial manufacturing strategy. Your fact-based negotiations and performance-based contracting will safeguard our company's interests while driving value across the entire supply chain.
Main Responsibilities
Lead sourcing of goods and services within External Manufacturing & Supply activities for Small Molecules, Large Molecules, and Vaccines business in the APAC region
Develop and execute sourcing strategies ensuring global participation, alignment, and adoption across Japan and Asia Pacific markets
Market Analysis, Spend Analysis, RFI/RFP/RFQ, Supplier Evaluation, Contract Negotiation, Risk Management, Compliance & SRM
Build and maintain strategic relationships with CMOs throughout the JPAC region
Execute and implement contracts/agreements with CMOs across all therapeutic modalities
Align with Finance and the Business to capture and monitor external budget spends and deliver world-class total savings objectives across GBUs
Ensure procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intel, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality) within the perimeter

Education
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field
Preferred: Master’s degree in business administration or Life Sciences
Languages
Required: Fluent in written and spoken English
Professional working proficiency in Japanese is a plus
