KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Planning and executing the marketing strategy of Glargine products in China:

  • Developing the brand strategy and campaigns, and creating tactical plans for Glargine
  • Working with cross-function teams such as medical, market access, field teams to ensure the seamless execution of the brand strategy
  • Defining messages, targets, incentive, call flow, materials to support fieldforce effective detailing of the product
  • Producing ideas for promotional events or activities and organizing them efficiently with maximized impact

Brand Performance

  • Analyzing qualitative and quantitative market data to generate a deeper understanding of the customer's needs, brand and disease issues, and market potential, including proactive identification of opportunities and gaps to refine strategies
  • Defining and delivering on targets
  • Managing budget definition and appropriate phasing
  • Reporting to senior leadership at local and global level on progresses through formal dashboard tracking and effective presentations

Leading teams

  • Leading a brand team and a large cross functional team
  • Ensuring cross functional alignment with a broad cast of internal and external stakeholders

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Education:                          

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
  • Medical or pharmacy education background preferred; MBA /post graduation (e.g., master, PHD) qualification will be an advantage

Experience & knowledge:    

  • Post-B.A/master. with 10 years working experience, OR post-MBA/PHD with 7 years working experience about brand management with operational marketing experience, preferably national marketing
  • Strong execution track record of success across field and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Diabetes experience will be highly valued

Core competencies:

  • Strong case experience in pharmaceuticals
  • Knowledge of the Diabetes market required
  • Experience with building forecast models, valuations, powerpoint presentations (senior management level presentations)
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present to senior management in English and Chinese
  • Demonstrates willingness and capability to cooperate with colleagues in various teams across the company
  • Ability to articulate and convey clear strategies and to ensure timely and effective execution
  • Agile thinking preferred
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively in a complex matrix environment and building sustainable and collaborative relationships with internal and external customers
