We are now looking for a talented Assistant Director / Senior Manager to be part of our dynamic team. Our team' s mission is to 1) accelerate the adoption of technology at Swire Properties, 2) develop strategic insight on emerging technologies, and 3) invest in emerging technology companies. This role will focus on #1 and #2.

Responsibilities:

- Understanding latest technologies and startups relevant to real estate, focusing mainly on the Chinese mainland, including (but not limited) smart retail, smart office, building technologies and new business areas;

- Acting as the first point of contact to connect with emerging technology companies;

- Creating a deep understanding of emerging technologies and comparing between different solutions;

- Understanding how technologies can apply to Swire Properties' existing businesses for sustained business impact;

- Developing and executing business plans on new potential businesses for Swire Properties;

- Delivering and measuring performance of trialing new technologies with Swire Properties' businesses;

- Sharing strategic insights with senior management team;

- Operating partnerships with innovation platforms like UrbanLab, VC partners, and other tech ecosystem partners for tech adoption and investment sourcing initiatives;

- Sourcing and conducting due diligence on early stage (Series A to Series C) technology companies in areas relevant to Swire Properties' operations;

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Together with creativity, integrity and passion, our ideal staff should be:

- 5-10 years of experience in strategic management or technology transformation consulting. Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Manager, Technology Acceleration and Transformation;

- Strong interest or experience in technology, technology businesses. Experience and knowledge in retail and real estate preferred but not required;

- Fluency in Mandarin and English is a must. Fluency in Cantonese is a plus;

- Strong business intuition, self-driven, strong interpersonal skills, good presenter;

- Based in Beijing, with frequent travel within the Chinese mainland;
